Keeping classic suspension alive

Retro Bike Parts Germany is a Berlin-based specialist for rare mountain bike suspension parts, service kits and complete restorations of classic forks and rear shocks. Our team brings more than 30 years of hands-on suspension experience.

Founded in Berlin in 2020 by Oliver Perleberg, our shop combines a passion for the mountain bikes of the 90s and 2000s with the practical expertise of our Berlin workshop. Our goal is to keep these classics running, not simply preserve them as display pieces.

We buy up spare parts stock worldwide

To keep spare parts available for classic suspension, we buy up spare parts inventories and remaining stock around the world. This allows us to secure rare original parts that are no longer manufactured and keep them available for repairs and restorations.

Our range includes original parts, new old stock (NOS), selected replacement parts, seals, bushings, elastomers, service kits and accessories. We are particularly experienced with VOTEC suspension forks, Scott TC rear shocks and other rare or technically demanding MTB suspension systems.

More than maintenance: complete restoration

With decades-old suspension, a routine service is often not enough. We carry out complete restorations: every fork and shock is fully disassembled into all of its individual components. Each part is cleaned and inspected before the suspension is rebuilt from scratch by hand, replacing necessary wear parts with suitable replacements.

This thorough work explains the longer turnaround. The usual processing time is approximately 15 to 20 working days from receipt of the component and complete order information. Rare models or parts that need to be sourced can take longer. If additional work is needed, we discuss the costs with you before proceeding.
